Natural Splendor:
Ottawa County Outdoor Art

On Display February 24, 2024 to August 11, 2024

Ottawa County’s beautiful scenery inspires local artists - from the coast of Lake Michigan and the banks of the Grand River to the woods and fields of the county’s interior. Some scenes have become iconic, such as the Grand Haven Lighthouse, the Musical Fountain, and Windmill Island Gardens. Others, though less well-known, are no less delightful for residents and visitors to the area. These scenes are brought to life by the artists of a local group: Ottawa County Outdoor Art. The artists of OCOA have taken in the rich diversity of scenes available in Ottawa County and portrayed those views that inspired them the most. We invite you to enjoy the natural splendor on display in these works and to explore Ottawa County to find the scenes that inspire you.

About Ottawa County Outdoor Art

Ottawa County Outdoor Art is a group of artists in Ottawa County, Michigan, who enjoy creating art depicting the natural beauty of our county through various artistic mediums, including painting, sketching and photography. We host outdoor painting events within our county periodically throughout the spring, summer and fall, at which artists and photographers of all skill levels are welcome to participate free of charge. We offer a Show & Tell time at the conclusion of each creative event, which allows for positive and encouraging feedback.
