The grant award met just under half of the full project cost. With support MACC grant and a generous match donor, plus contributions from our Museum family, we completed the redo in late spring of 2024. Following a year of fundraising, planning, demolition, re-grading, and re-surfacing of the old parking lot, today the CARC's accessibility and curb appeal showcase the CARC's value as an asset to the community, and welcomes youth and adults for educational tours, authors and researchers for local history exploration, and a growing corps of volunteers who dedicate their time and talent to helping us collect and preserve local history.
