3/27/26, 4:00 PM
Tri-Cities Historical Museum voted 'Best Museum' in the People's Choice Awards 2026…for a third year running!
The Museum values its deep-rooted connection with our community. From lifelong residents to curious visitors, the museum has become a gathering place where stories are shared, memories are made, and history comes alive. Through engaging exhibits, educational programs, and community events, the museum has become an integral part of the social fabric of the Tri-Cities, weaving together the diverse threads of its local history.
Exhibits that draw in new audiences and inspire every generation. In 2025, the Tri-Cities Historical Museum told local stories of brides, grooms, and their families who have celebrated their weddings over the generations, and brought to life a local artist who lived in the 1800s but whose works continue to inspire today.
A collection stewarded to the highest standards. We brought the community closer to its history with ongoing cataloging and inventory of the objects given into our care over 67 years. Staff and volunteers collaborated to complete this work, and residents of the Tri-Cities -as well as history lovers from afar- gained access to more of the collection with CollectiveAccess, our online database.
Enriching programs for all ages. In 2025, Museum programs engaged learners across generations, offering family-friendly, interactive, and hands-on Chautauqua-style moments that immersed audiences in the past.
As we celebrate this milestone, the Tri-Cities Historical Museum extends its heartfelt gratitude to the community for its unwavering support. This award belongs to each and every person who has walked through our doors, shared their stories, and contributed to our shared history. Together, we will continue to honor the past, inspire the present, and shape the future of the Tri-Cities.
