Look through the window of time into the history
of the Tri-Cities and Northwest Ottawa County. The Depot Museum location,
situated on the banks of the Grand River in the former Grand Trunk Railroad
depot, provides a glimpse at the past, a view of our nautical heritage,
and a learning experience for all to enjoy.
The Museums two floors house a variety of artifacts depicting the
rich heritage of the area: from fur trading and lumbering to the United
States
Coast Guard and railroads; visitors will understand the influence
that people, industry, religion, and culture played in shaping who we
are and where weve been.
The Museums Coast Guard Room is
full of locally-crafted scale models of Coast Guard ships and other
Great Lakes and Grand River vessels. Victorian period rooms, sports,
agriculture, toy and other exhibits portray day-to-day lifestyles all
will find enjoyable.
